jimsvrn: I have just purchased a Bradley GT II project. I need a windshield (or a retro-fit option), rear hatch glass, both doors upper glass, driver lower glass, and any heads up as to any other parts which someone might have available. cell phone (203) 537-1966 Dec 27, 2014 11:07:08 GMT -5
jimsvrn: I WAS JUST WONDERING.....IF ANYONE EVER INSTALLED A GT II BODY... OVER A 1992 TOYOTA MR-2, CHASSIC, SUSPENSION, MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION. I'D REALLY APPRECIATE HEARING FROM ANYONE WITH INFO OR INPUT...ON MY QUESTION jim_svrn@yahoo.com tel (203) 537-1966 Feb 6, 2015 23:18:07 GMT -5
jspbtown: Toyota is a uni-body. Unless you have crazy fabrication skills you are just asking for a project you can't complete. Feb 11, 2015 17:05:10 GMT -5
jimsvrn: thanks! your input is greatly appreciated Feb 27, 2015 23:09:25 GMT -5
jimsvrn: hey jspbtown.......aren't Bradley gt 11's installed on vw pans.....aren't vw's unibody as well? Mar 9, 2015 19:42:34 GMT -5
jspbtown: VWs have a separate body and chassis 9the "pan"). They are independent of eachother. The MR2 is a unibody. You can remove fenders but not the roof or the rear quarters without significantly weakening the chassis. Mar 13, 2015 8:50:17 GMT -5
jspbtown: The VW suspension is also part of the chassis and not the body. The MR2 uses struts which mount to the unibody. Mar 13, 2015 8:51:07 GMT -5
cocacoladodge: Could be worse, could be a Pontiac ferio... Those are "space frames" in which if any part of it is compromised, the whole thing is compromised. Only 2 cars that I know of have ever used this, one is obviously the Fiero, the other is the Ford GT (GT40) Mar 13, 2015 11:11:48 GMT -5
jspbtown: Unibodies are similar to the space frames. You can't chop the roof off without reinforcing the chassis. The Fiero platforms are used regularly for Lambo kits. They are cut and stretched to match the wheelbase of the Lambo. Mar 17, 2015 15:18:26 GMT -5
jimsvrn: Thanks Guys! I really appreciate your info Mar 28, 2015 21:55:13 GMT -5
