Thinking of making an offer

Hey guys, while on a motorcycle ride to memorialize my sisters passing last year on the same ride, I stopped off in this little town and as I have done since I was a child with my father, I cruised these little backroads (some paved, some dirt... some a sort of combination) and as I was doing this, I came across a silver metallic Bradley GT hidden halfway under what was once a haybale house... essentially a tin roof with all sides open but from what I could tell the Bradley had been pretty well protected. Now, being that I’m not fond of being shot, I didn’t touch the car although I did venture into the property to get a better look and some pictures. A little backstory on me is that for my entire childhood and much of my early adult years, my father was the owner/operator of a well known independent Volkswagen and European auto shop here in Utah. So, I knew what I was looking at, pretty much what to look for and to be honest, I liked what I saw. My question to you guys is what to offer the current owner (if he’ll part with it) I don’t want to lowball him because I’m sure he has some emotional attachment to it or it probably wouldn’t be there. However, in its current state I don’t want to get carried away. If I can attach pics to this thread I will try... but my thought was to offer $500 firm. Now... how we get to that number is always up in the air. But that’s where I think I can make a go of this thing. It obviously doesn’t run, but I have the knowledge and willpower (and probably a good chunk of parts) to make that problem go away. As nice as it is, I don’t know how much I want to change it, but as we all know that’s just what we say in the beginning lol. So... am I way off the mark here? Keep in mind that this car 100 miles in any direction from a real city, so if I don’t get it out of there, it may never find daylight and pavement again. Still. I will value any input and any questions would also be appreciated... even if I don’t have the answers. Thanks 🙏. PS. I was in a severe accident of my own a month and a half ago and they say I may not walk for a year... so, I need a project or I’m gonna lose my sanity. I’m just wondering if this is the one... I can’t get it out of my mind.

Lots of "Well that depends" on this one. All of below is "In my opinion" of course and could vary by region or individual

1. Overall condition of the body? Cracks? Faded gelcoat? An empty shell Bradley with nice gelcoat and no damage might be worth $500-$1000

2. Chassis? Rusted floors? Rusted center tunnel? Title?

3. Any interior?

4. Wheels tires useable or will you need new wheels and tires?

5. Does it have an engine that runs? A transmission that shifts?

6. How bad is the wiring? And can you re-wire a car from scratch?

So....without knowing all those things I am thinking you are between $250 (a damaged shell, rusted chasis, bad wheels/tires, no engine, no transmission, and a lack of wiring) up to $6000 for a pristine shell, a perfect chassis, great wheel/tire combo, high performance engine and tranny, and impeccable wiring.

Then throw in the buyers mental state
