if youre going to use the trim youve got to get the right gasket for the windshield too which is notorious for not fitting the bradley because the bradley originally used a different gasket that doesnt exist might have to fiberglass it a bit to fit the proper corvette gasket which would enable you to correctly use the trim

Bradley choices were the chrome trim OR the rubber gasket, not both.
Pre-1976 GT kits were shipped with the chrome trim. The windshield was set into position with black putty and the trim parts were screwed down to lock the windshield in. Builders ad to be very careful that the screws didn't bang into the glass on their way in.
Post-1976 kits had no chrome trim. The new rubber gasket was fitted around the windshield, then the windshield/gasket was fitted inside the windshield frame with the rope-in-the-groove- trick. Once the windshield and gasket were fitted, a black or chrome-like rubber locking strip kept everything nice and tight.
Early and late manuals show the two mounting methods accordingly.
I bought my kit in early 1976. It came with the chrome trim parts, which I used for a couple of years before switching over to the gasket method during a later rebuild.
Since the correct size gaskets appears to be unavailable, the trim is a viable option. The primary difference between an original install and a new install would be the "putty." The industry is currently using a urethane adhesive that dries harder and stronger, and won't smear like the never-cure original windshield putty.
BTW to whom it may concern: You wouldn't refer to your butt as a "rear" backside, so please try not to refer to a windshield as a "front" windshield. Windshields are only in a vehicle's front. That's why they are windshields. In an automobile, there is no back windshield or side windshield. They are the side and back windows. Only the front is a windshield.
Warmest...
