I wrote aircraft test cell software for the military in the late 70's. I was the Captain of a local fire/rescue service for 10 years. I worked as a broadcast engineer for a decade but got tired of being on call 24/7 with no breaks so I retrained as a systems analyst, got a MCSE and started to network the country. Now I run a sewing plant. Hard to believe that in this day and age things are still being sewn together in the US. Besides work I've built a hotrod (1934 Hupmobile), am an avid gardener, a beekeeper, a surfer/boater/fisherman and gemologist.

Singer, bass player, guitar player from 1959 till 1980, then hobby industry guy. Editor in chief of hobby industry trade magazine till 2009, and editor in chief of RC airplane magazine (for AMA) from 2008 through the present. Still play and sing, but last pro stint was from 1992-1994.
Wrote two books for RC aircraft in the '90s, one for Tab and the other for Motorbooks International, both now out of print. Current model design is F-14 TAMEcat from The World Models in China, distributed in the US and worldwide by AirBorne Models LLC in Livermore CA.
Always a model aircraft guy, but also involved in all other model hobbies. Two kit cars (GT and Fiberfab MG-TD) eight 50-year-old vintage race karts, and recently finished restoring some two tons of vintage Sunn PA gear, and Sunn bass amps and guitar amps from the late 1960s and early '70s.
Have an interesting guitar and bass collection, including an original 1968 Dan Armstrong bass, 69 Armstrong guitar, 75 Fender Mustang and a 1974 Stratocaster (Nastycaster), hand-carved by David Heffernan (album covers for Led Zepellin, Spyro Gyra, Peter Wolf, J. Giles band and others). Lots more guitars and basses, too.
BFD (big fu**kin' deal). I came close enough, but if I was a star I'd still be doing it!
Warmest...

Professional Over the road Truck Driver (at least for the last 11 years)
Before that I worked in many fields. Auto Tech, maintenance tech for a Plastics company here in the area. Kind of a Jack Of all Trades and have an annoying habit of being able to do just about anything I put my attention to (it really ircks my girlfriend)
Oh I also repair Motorcycles, Boats, Computers, automatic transmissions, and just about anything anybody brings to me.

I have been in retail for 33 years. Retail Management for 28 years. Husband for 22 (still married). Father of three... two sons, 20 and 17, one daughter 11. Grandfather for one so far. Bradley GT2 owner. I enjoy the posts. I find you all as inspirational and educational mentors. Hope to have mine legally on the road soon. ( it runs, but I have an electrical charging opportunity to figure out.) Because of all the posts from here and the other Bradley sites I have managed to get my Bradley GT 2 barn find operational again. Thank you.

Full time occupation is called DAD (3 1/2 month old son) In my spare time I am a bartender a few nights a week. I also can and often do fix anything whether I know what I am doing or not. I have worked as an auto mechanic, a general contractor, an electronics inspector/troubleshooter/assembler, a swimming pool and spa troubleshooter/repairman/salesman, a waiter, a boat (yacht) builder, a manager of a multimillion dollar a year company, a burger flipper, an automatic transmission rebuilder, a dreamer, a surf bum, a provider for my family, and an all around mr fixit kind of guy. Not necessarily in that order but I have done all of them. I am currently a bartender,

Computer network engineer for Boston Scientific at the moment (for the past 4 years or so)... had my own company doing similar work plus low voltage cabling, security systems, security cameras, etc. for the 7 years leading up to that. Constant remodeler on our house that we've been in since 1991, a little woodworking on the side, and scooter fanatic. Recently upgraded from a Chinese 150cc to a Chinese 250cc/Honda Reflex clone. That, combined with a little sheetrock work in the kitchen has been keeping me from getting my kit back on the road this spring.

Been a mechanic most of my life, dug ditches, played the deputy sheriff game once, but now just a disabled vet trying to keep his sanity. Is that possible?

Spent the last 25 years trying to make a difference in the lives of our fellow citizens. From organ transplants to healthcare insurance for seniors, to helping make low income health care work, continue to work in multiple states. But never lost my need to get dirty and work on cars- need a garage fix but moving to Florida and no time to work on the GT II in MO.

I am retired. Most recent job was computer R&D. Bob asked - I am a USAF SSgt vet 1964-68, medic. My first career was news photography, then magazine work, then editor before entering academe for decades. I still make photos and am slowly preparing for a show with the help of a couple name, published photographers. My Mother died in her sleep last Mother's day. She was cremated. The following photo is something like the work I do when I do color - it's Mother's eldest great grand daughter liberating her ashes www.digoliardi.net/chris/ashes-s.jpgAm not terribly active now due to condition that makes walking difficult. Genetic thing. Selling all the cars, too.
