Good evening fella's,
I have been considering purchasing a motorhome for some time now. Thinking about a class C or other at at least a 30ft length. In my line of work I have the opportunity to travel to races, as well as other places and I think it would be a great way to do it.
I would like something that would have the ability to pull a trailer with a car in it. Diesel would be the way to go, but I have rented one with the Ford V10 and it had plenty of power
I get spoiled from time to time when I get to take out a 40ft Tiffin Allegro with 3 slides and everything else you would ever need. Not that I can afford one, but it sure it nice.
Used is what I can afford
Any suggestions?

I had a 27' Holliday Rambler for 8 months hated the 8 miles per gal. Sold it and not I just rent a place and ride in comfort. But hey I have friends and family that love it. It's just not for us.

I have a 25’ Dodge Class A with a 440, it pulls my enclosed 30' rolling shop without any issue, including up Ashland grade. However, if I could pick any motor home, I'd get a short (25-35’) diesel pusher. I have always been a fan of the Navistar (IH) engines, they tow well, get decent fuel economy, and are not to terrible to work on. -Charles

get a decent retired school bus with the deisel pusher and make you one. There is a big following for them.

I was thinking about one....Calculated how many motel nights that I can spend in a first class accomdation...no hunting a place to park..no levelling the vehicle...no messing with slide outs...no securing everything from rolling around when I am getting ready to leave...and at 70 years old, there are not enough motel room nights left to offset the basic cost of the unit, much less the fuel.... Just my two cents worth.... Bobevans

Get you a conversion van, that way if you really have to stop somewhere you have a decent bed.

Great suggestions everyone. Class C or even a B (conversion van) would be what I would want. I have the chance to attend several races a year and staying at the tracks is always much more fun than a hotel Its not something I am in a huge rush to purchase. Just considering the pros and cons
