Just wanted to echo the thoughts. Your theme of "first get it running, then make it pretty" was an inspiration to me and I kept it right up front between my eyes! Whoever gets that project, it's a steal for the price, and there's enough room to have it shipped anywhere in the USA. Good luck with whatever you're doing, I've really gained alot from your posts and build site! Thanks Big Bob

Dang Big Bob, Sorry to see you sell the car. You inspired me on a lot of the things I've been working on for my Autocross Bradley GT. Did a 3.5" drop, and a 1.5" square tube body lift to add strength. Hope you find the right buyer, I came back from my 3years in Germany with a wife and instant family, still haven't gotten to that car after 1 year back in the States. My 16 yr old son really wants to drive the car when it is assembled, so far I've told him no way with 180 hp 2270 type 4..... Dave (also 6'3")

Like many other people on here, you have given us lessons on what works well, and what can work if you put your mind to it. Good luck on the sale, and I hope you stay on the forum.

I went on your site and saw what you did with the car. It's really nice. Do you still have it?

Always appreciated your words of wisdom - get it running then make it pretty. Also I believe you were the one talked about celebrating the little "victories" each day. These words got me through some tough situations (my first rebuild) and now I'm driving.
I hope you sell your car soon.
Cheers,

I still have the car. It really only needs a rear glass. not even sure if that's needed. cool little car, just needs a couple finishing touches.
richmond, va... i personally think 2 grand is a great deal on this.

Well, I've had some interest in the car. ..on the other hand.... i still have the car... here's an alternate link to look at pictures and progress... mysite.verizon.net/bobthagard1/car/in my minds eye, i've pictured me driving that thing with the right tires and wheels, a nice paint job, just tooling around town. man, that would be sweet. but i dont think its going to happen for me. all anyone really needs to do is maybe put a back glass in, tweak the engine (for some reason is not wanting to run after a while probably cuz i havent messed with it in a longer while) and give it a nice copper orange paint job. man it would be cool. and not a shabby car, but a reasonably finished tight car..... somebody needs this car.... bob

wow.... i said good-bye to an old friend this weekend. crashdown from MO picked up the GT saturday. we loaded it onto his tow dolly no problem. Along with the car went an untouched extra set of plexi gullwings and some other goodies.
i'm anxious to see him complete the progress on this little guy. i hope to still frequent the boards but man, i really got attached to the little buger.
best, big bob

Bob, I am sorry to hear that you actually have parted with it. While it was still in your possession there was a chance you would change your mind. Do hope that you do continue to hang around the boards.
Warmest Regards...

is up to my friend he is a prop maker in L.A. he is doing this as a favor and i will have to make the molds and cast the copies myself which is really easy but time comsuming and the big molds would run in the area of 300-400 and only make about 35 copies at best plus casting materials so isnt too cost effective unless you charge an arm and leg like some garage kit people do and i am not interested in doing it as a business just to pass along a cool kit i will get these done and ask him about another car later on i am guessing the costs to be about 10 for the little one shipped and the bigger one in the area of 30 plus shipping and tires and wheels would need to be used from another kit or bought on ebay will keep everyone updated
