I just purchased my firts Bradley GTII and have an ongoing restoration project. I've got every single part for the car but my windshield is cracked and badly damaged. Anyone have a spare one for sale?? Will pay cost of item plus shipping/crating.
thanks

Anyone have a spare one for sale?? Will pay cost of item plus shipping/crating. thanks To all that read this, I was in contact with bradleygt2ontario regarding the original windshield I have in a shipping box, but I most regretfully had to decline selling mine to him because I HOPE that including it in the sale of my GTII will be an incentive to the buyer. To help him, I suggest to anyone who has yet to get his GTII into the driving condition he wishes - rethink it all. I wish I had before putting $15,000 into it - and perhaps consider selling your windshield to bradleygt2ontario if you are going to quit. Aside: A GTII in excellent condition has become seriously rare. When do you think values will catch up in the hobbiest market. DID YOU KNOW THAT THE ORIGINAL FACTORY BUILT GTII-E COST MORE THAN THE CORVETTE OF THE SAME YEAR? Whoa. Something to think about. -- MJ (John) who was there from the beginning when Bradley had a fancy rotating display in the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport! .

I might need to look for a complete car as I've just noticed my passenger side door glass was broken in storage, just the top portion but It's no good anymore. It seems I might also need both tinted t-top plexi glass these are damaged as well and I'm missing the hardware.
So sum everything up,
1-Windshield 1-passenger top portion door glass 2-tinted t-top plexi glass and hardware.
Also forgot I'm missing one striker plate for one of the doors, actually I would be interested in a pair of replacements since mine are a bit rusty.
I'm sure I'm missing a few other pieces...
If someone on the board has any of these pieces and are looking to sell them and you that you don't mind shipping to Ontario, Canada then I would be interested.
Let me know what you have, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone for the help but my quest to find a windshield still continues! Being in Canada doesn't make it easier, not many of them around here from what I gather. The one currently selling on ebay is about a 7 hour drive from my place which isnt too bad but without a truck and trailer I'm out of luck! Almost forgot, I need a passport to go to the states too. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to apply for one soon!

I received your PM and read it today. I'm assuming that it will cost you an arm and a leg to have this windshield at your door step, transportation will be a killer. I'm willing to help you out as your last resource tho.

Well, it looks like you might be my last resource...what scares me is if it'll actually get to my place in one piece?

It seems shipping is my only option...next to having a windshield custom made, I don't know what to do. I'm almost at the paint stage on my kit and can't paint it until I know the windshield fitment is correct.

I know, how does someone crate a windshield? Can you send me a pm so we can discuss further?

I would get the passport and find a way to come down and pick it up in person,
It's not worth the risk unless you build a crate, fill it with shock absorbent material
& insure it for much more than it's worth so you can get another for free.
If you're really set on having one shipped I'd get in touch with a glass replacement company
and find out how they ship product also with a shipper to get some tips and info.

I had a Renault Dauphine windshield shipped from Texas to MA. It made it just fine. Granted it was smaller.

I shipped over a half dozen GT2 windshields and have only had one break...I used standard windshield shipping boxes that I obtained from a local glass house..they ship them with the windshield standing upright on edge with cardboard inserts..I added styrofoam front and back and cut the boxes shorter to more closely match the windshield....then and most importantly I place the box on edge on a pallet and banded it there in place..this prevents the shipper from stacking anything on top of it...The one that was broken, had a forklift fork run through it..bear in mind that no matter how much insurance you get, the windshields are nearly one of a kind....Good Luck.... I vouch for Bobs shipping methods . Back when I got mine from him shipping was about the same as cost of the windshield .Nowadays I bet shipping is way more . Good luck to you . Steve

I travelled out 9 and back 9 for the rear glass. I may have strikers. Will look later today.

The windshield has since been sold so I missed out on that one. I'm going to keep looking if I can't find anything then I'll probably modify it to accept the 280z windshield like Skip did on his. That was my back up plan, I've already picked up a 280z windshield just in case.
