In trying to install this welting in my window frames and it is coming apart. I tried to find a new supply, but running into no suppliers. All the local shops tell me it is not made any more. One local glass shop had the next size larger, so I asked him for the manufacture of it since it looked exactly the same only larger. It is C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. I found it on the web but they sale it in 500 ft rolls. I ask then for a supplier who can sale a smaller quanty. Is anyone interested in any of this welting? Or know of some other location where I can find it. Now I am waiting for a replay back from this Company. Wyn

Email the company about obtaining a sample. I once needed a speaker for an older flat screen tv. I found a company that sold just speakers and had the proper ones. When I explained what I was doing and inquired about the price, the company offered to ship me 2 speakers as free samples. They even paid the shipping. Now my tv sounds great.

I have the power window units and have cut them to size. But this is as far as I can go now, I am still looking for the window channel slides or welting. And Now November 1 I go in the Hospital for another surgery. Doc said can’t do anything for 4 to 6 weeks. So I’ll get to work after Christmas. Wyn,
The welting that you are looking for, is it the channel that the sliding window moves up and down in? If it is the channel I just purchased some from a company named Restoration Specialties & Supply Inc., 148 Minnow Creek Lane, Windber, Pa. 15963, 814-467-9842.

Dan, The window drive is from Electric Life P/n is EL 1000 Super Street Rod Kit for Flat Glass. I'm a little concerned about the current the motors need, so I need a moderate size of wire to connect them with. www.electric-life.com I'll mount bottom to an 'L' bracket. It the top I'll spot weld a small tab and bolt a support arm between the tab and the front of the H channel just below the window sill. Late Monday my Son help me place the GT2 body down on the chassis for the first time. Ran into a big problem none of the bolt holes align up very well. I orgionaly had mounted body to the old 57 chassis with the 1" spacer. When I built the new chassis I used the 1" frame as an alignment guide. We spent about 3 hr using long screwdrivers and 3/8" drift pins and only got 4 bolts in on the drivers side. For the right side I'm going to use 3 drift pins and find the best 3 holes then drill the other holes just enough to ream them to get the bolts in. I was worried about the body aligning up on the butt sag supports, They were the only thing that aligned properly. www.ksus-62.net/Brad/Misc/bs-rr-a.JPG [/img] This will be the last week I can work on the car for a while. Nov 1 I go into the Hospital for bariatric surgery. Doc said not to do anything for 4 to 6 weeks after wards. So I'll wait until Jan to start working again on the car. Wyn
