Sounds like you have a good start to good build. Don't know alot about the GT2's but figure I would use the Hot Rod approach if I couldn't find NOS parts and tailor the build to my personal taste. Had a similar problem with my GT and decided to cut the front and rear off and add dune buggy fenders and am completely satisfied with it. Get a lot of people telling me it was blasphemy but I couldn't afford to do a complete restore on it and bought the car to have fun with, so mission accomplished. Have fun and do what makes you happy.

Knew of a guy who had a GT 2 at his body shop and he redesigned the windshield frame for a common make windshield it turned out nice ,not sure what windshield. I'm sure a Bradley expert would notice the differance but most people don't even notice it's not OEM.

truev66, thanks for being a great bradley gt member, very good advice. got some sudden emails for interior didnt make an offer just wanted a price and shipping, think when you sell a stock interior for one of these it should go to the highest bidder/offer. i cant even get an email back for a rusty rollbar, having one made of aluminum/stain;ess square tube l.

It seems that some people take these cars to seriousily. I like the post from skip20 he makes the hobby more fun by showing how to modify them. I understand the need for purist otherwise there wouldn't be anything but pictures for the youngster to look at in the future. So for those that have the moolah let them spend it on restorations. As for me I'll stick to old school hot roddin and having fun on the cheap.

I don't think there are any real "purists" here. What I think you might have mistaken for that is many people's advice to build the cars as designed because its the easiest way to do it, and not because they are purists.
Heck, almost every build I have done has been relatively stock (as compared to Skip thats for sure!) because thats all I can handle. And I have done a few kits. Never has it been done to be pure to the origin of the kit.
Many, many, many (did I say "many" enough?) people get all jacked up about building something crazy only to find out they are over their heads either skill wise or money wise. or both!
I don't think any regular here will tout the value of an unmolested Bradley. Instead I think everyone just wants to see them finished and enjoyed.
Yours sounds like a cool project. How about posting some pics?
