Hello everyone ,
Born in Germany . Working in KSA . Living in China and Germany . Bradley owner . I think my Bradley is the only one in Germany.
Will be finished next year with the restoration . Then I send photos
Problem: No car registration as Bradley (only VW Kaefer)
I need copies of Titles for the registration as Bradley.
Who can help?
BR.
Benno

Greetings Benno... I look forward to visiting Germany and Europe next year! I would love to see and learn more in the land of my forefathers and VW's and Porsche ! ... I know there are some amazing Porsche / VW hybrids of type ONE's, and would love to have more Porsche parts on my Bradley GT2 ... [ FYI: I think of my Bradley as an "American / German car" ... a "born again" ... Unique! ... ]
SO, my Bradley GT2 is entirely a "self assembled vehicle" of various parts, most (engine etc) from a 1972 Beetle.... NEW floor pan from Brazil, so no stamped VIN number.... ( I took all receipts and the old title for 1972 to a state office for inspection and issue of the new title... ) My state title declares it a "self assembled vehicle" ("parts from various sources") with no reference to the 1972 Beetle. A special state "VIN" number (non-standard) is specified on the state title. Hope this helps!

Some details: No title For the beginning of the restoration, a chassis with drive unit was purchased, moderately restored but with vehicle registration VW Kaefer. On the the photo left old and right new next picture Floor plate restored to German standards Engine formerly 1200 cm³. Now new 1600 cm³. The GT will to be completely new built regarding to factory standard. So I am looking an original title or a copy with "Manufacturer Bradley" inserted.

Hi benno, Kudos! You have a nice looking Bradley, and a great start on it's restoration. As far as an original Bradley title goes, they are pretty rare and far between. It's my understanding that the so called "turn key models" were actually assembled under contract by various builders and then sold by "Bradley" as a complete car. They were few in number, as the great majority of Bradleys were sold as body kits to individuals. As a result, most Bradleys still on the street today, carry the title of the original donor VW chassis. At least that's what mine is. It's titled, licensed, and insured as a VW Beetle. I think some are titled as "special construction" in some states. I don't know what the laws are in Germany, but here in the US the laws vary some from state to state. I don't know how you get the name of the manufacturer changed on a title. Gary Hammond,

Hello, Many thanks to the authors of both comments. Maybe just a stupid idea of the Bradley title. The registration is not a problem in Germany as VW. Now another topic: As seen in the photos above, here is mounted a long rear window. I would like to have a short rear window (see new photo here) Thanks to everyone who can help me BR Benno

Plexi-glass parts are like affordable super models.....They exist but are very rare.
They really haven't been made in years so finding decent used parts is almost impossible. That goes for doors as well so if your doors are good protect them with your life.
