I picked up a Bradley GT last year and started restoring it. I got quite a ways with it, but I recently purchased a barn find GT II. The engine in the GT II had mice inside of it, so I pulled the engine and sold the seized engine to a friend of mine and put my good engine in the GT II. I've been restoring the GT II and have decided that if I can sell my GT, I will, and if not, I can restore it one day.
Anyways, the car has some good points and some bad...
The good: All if the black interior leather is present, including the dash, seats, walls, shifter boot, emergency brake boot, and ceiling. It is mostly in great condition - the section glued to the door seal needs some love and there are a few small tears in the wall leather that could be easily patched or repaired. The driver's side door is completely intact, but the passenger door is not and only half of it remains - this is how I purchased it. All of the gauges work (some are new, some are old) and the drum brakes all work. The pan is a very nice stainless steel (at least I'm told it's stainless) drop pan that is in great shape. The headlamps are present and function. The front turn signals are new off of an Opel GT with new LED bulbs; I've tested them but have not wired them. The tail lights and brake lights also work and are also new LED units. There are also reverse lamps but they aren't wired. There are also new lap belts. I recently fitted a brand new aluminum fuel cell as the old tank gave me grief for the entire time I owned the vehicle. The tank is mostly installed in the rear and a new hole is cut for the new filler cap (I still have the fiberglass that is was cut out to either put it back or in the old filler hole) and the old tank was scrapped as it was not worth repairing versus replacing it. The tank could be used for fuel injection and has a vent, a top and bottom outlet, and a top return. There is also a fuel level sensor installed. All of the wiring present is functional and the car comes with a fresh battery. The car came with 5-lug wire spoke wheels which could use some cleaning but are otherwise in wonderful condition. The tires are also brand new with less than 100 miles on them and hold air just fine. The transaxle is a 4-speed that shifts wonderfully, but the shift bushing does need replacing.
The bad: As I said before, there is some leather that needs some minor repair and the passenger door needs replacement. The wipers also need wiring and some of the wiring could be cleaned up a bit (I was in the process). The body is in fantastic condition, but definitely needs paint. The body was just removed to install the new tank and I started fitting new wooden body spacers. All the wood to do this is included. The steering column mount on the front of the footwell should be lowered a half inch to allow for the new spacing. The body is being held on with a few fasteners and the steering is tightly connected to allow it to move, but it should be adjusted. When you pull the body you should clean the pan and frame, paint the body, and replace the shifter bushing. The new tank needs a proper remote filler setup; you might be able to use the old one, but I never got so far as to try. You will want to install the proper starter motor for whatever motor you install (my friend might be able to help you with that as well should you want it). Finally, the pan is originally a 1963 swingaxle pan that was converted improperly to IRS. It will drive as is, but the camber is very much negative and it should be fixed.
If you are interested, I am open to all offers as I'm not sure what I'd like to get out of it and I really just want someone to love it. Please contact me at TheActualSteve@gmail.com and I can send you photos or arrange for you to come and see it. Thanks!
