Sorry for taking so long on posting these, but I am struggling with health issues and my time in the shop has been pretty limited this year. It's really getting aggravating, but my son's are telling me to slow down and don't worry about making the shows this year. I still think I can make it before the fall shows end.
This is the work from April thru June. I am working on the interior now, I am going to paint last because I have a couple of other projects waiting to be painted so I am going to do them all at the same time. The doors are about done, just working out some bugs as I want the entire window assembly to be removable in the event a section of glass gets broken or there is a motor or cable failure that will need to be repaired. There is not a whole lot of room in there to make it all work, but I am just about there. I gave up on making the triangle section of the window operational due to the sideview mirror locations, but most of the glass will now drop down into the door. They are two pieces of glass that are parallelograms one 6" x 22" the other is 10" x 22". This keeps the dividing line below your line of sight. (also solves my claustrophobic issues....LOL) A 16"x22" opening is a hell of a lot better than that little PITA sliding glass. All the wiring is done, it's up and running again, were down to the finish work and paint. If my d**n body will just co-operate, will get er done.
Sorry again to the purest. This car was toast when I got it and rather than scrap it, I am letting the imagination run and see where the journey ends......
Take care all, see you at the shows if you're around NW Ohio.
