I have been thinking really hard about putting a chassis from a 78 to 81 monte carlo/regal buick/cutlas olds ;)under my gtII. I know i would have to shorten the chassis, but the chassis will sit under the car quite nicely according to measurements . What I need to know is will a small v-6 fit under the front or would i have to go the rotary or boxer route to get things to fit correctly . I know that Rob Stone you and a couple more of others have cut yours up . Was wondering if this is possible with maybe a small hood scoop. I wouldn't want to make it look like a dragster ;Dor anything i couldn't drive down the road and draw the attention of the law or pass requirements for the road . Thanks all, David

was gonna go the fiero route but there isn't any around this part in the right shape and price. However there are plenty of regal buick's cutlass olds and monte carlos laying around everywhere these days. I need opinions and thoughts on this one.

Thanks all, David David, Have you gotten any info regarding a front engine GTII? I've just gotten a GTII body and wanted to put an engine in the front using a V8 if possible. I happen to live in Thailand and came across this GTII which has been sitting up for many years. My email is jmurch@loxinfo.co.th Thanks, John

Welcome John to the board, How did a Bradley end up in Thailand! ?? David, sound like an good idea, but I don't really have any info to. I know the old Chevy frames were stright in the middle & & if the body will fit, go for it. To shorted the frame make a Z cut & re-weld, add some 3/8" sheet to the inside welded area. We will need alot of pictures here if you do this !!!!!!! I'm building a Mid-engine GTII & will be getting back to work on it the winter. Skip20

Thanks Skip, I'm not sure how the Bradley wound up here but it's left hand drive so it's not been changed for Thailand. I'll send you some pictures soon. I'm going to need a lot of help from people like you so I hope everyone's open to many questions. I'm like David in wanting a front engine GTII but my sources for the frames might be a lot less then in the states. Being in Thailand though with labor so cheap I could probably have a custom frame built for next to nothing. I'll keep you informed. John Skip20
